Luxury Automakers BMW, Daimler and Audi Clinch Purchase of Nokia’s Maps Business

German car makers to acquire Nokia Here in deal worth $3.1 billion


Germany’s biggest auto makers have clinched a deal to buy Nokia Corp. digital mapping business, beating out rival bidders for some of the vital technology for self-driving cars in a €2.8 billion ($3.1 billion) acquisition.

The deal is a coup for BMW AG, Audi AG and Daimler AG, the front-runners to buy the business for some weeks, as the auto industry and Silicon Valley technology companies jockey for position to develop and equip the next generation of cars.

Hyundai Ioniq To Be Available As Plug-In Hybrid, EV And Hybrid Car

Hyundai has officially announced plans to launch its first-ever dedicated hybrid car at the beginning of 2016!

To be named Ioniq, the vehicle is set to be officially unveiled in South Korea in January next year with European and North American debuts scheduled for Geneva and New York auto shows, respectively.

It was previously thought that the 2017 Ioniq will only be available as a hybrid car and plug-in hybrid vehicle, however, Hyundai today surprised the world announcing that Ioniq will also be offered as an all-electric, zero emission vehicle!

Nissan brings its “Dream Classroom” to Yunnan

Nov. 13 – Zhaotong City, China – In late September, the opening ceremony of “Nissan Dream Classroom” was held at YaZiTang Primary School in Yunnan Province, another step in the recovery of the earthquake-ravaged region. A massive tremor struck the region in August 2014, devastating Zhaotong City, and Nissan and other parties began contributing to the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, as well as offering teaching equipment such as computers and electronic blackboards to support 19 elementary schools in their resumption of education activities.
